Piano Marathon at Bar 25, 14th 15th & 16th of August 2009

Hi! My name is Laura Weider, and my aim is to play the longest piano concert ever at Bar25.

Three days to relax, drink, dance, laugh and dream.

To tell you more about myself: I am 28 years young and I am a designer and character artist, but also a composer of piano music. I improvise, play and combine my pianothemes into long tracks, and one day I had the idea that it could also be a very very very very long track.

I am happy to announce that this wonderful and a bit crazy event does take place in the Circus Area of Bar25 - be prepared for 40 hours of special happenings and surprises!

For those who've never been to Bar25 and who never heard about it: it's a magic place and playground directly to the waters of the river Spree. And, for reasons that noone really understands, it has to close its gates forever only two weeks later. But we can provide the area from this. Check out megaspree.org for more info!

So, as you can see, if we cannot make the change, this is a once in a lifetime event that you shouldnt miss! And it is also a tribute to all the years of innovation, clublife and art that passed by at Bar25. Get ready for a wonderful heartmelting music and performance weekend in the Circus of Bar25.

You may have heard who is the common leader of the record. It's Gonzales (love you, mate!!!!), and he ran his wonderful crazy concert in Paris, for about 27 hours. Well, Gonzales is pretty famous, and I am just a girl from the block. But that makes it even more exciting to me!! We can do everything, if we just start it!!!

I dedicate this record to my old pal Jean-Jacques Perrey, who is a pioneer in electronic music, and who, in fact, brought me to where I am now. Four years ago, he dedicated a song to me, called "The girl from Berlin". Check his new album "Destination Space" to listen to this wonderful track, that is speaking so much out of my heart! Today, I want to give something back!!! This is for you, JJ!!!!
